Ugly Christmas sweater competitions have long been a family tradition for many and now it seems that ugly Christmas sweater contests are becoming a very popular business and organization activity.
This year marked the third annual Essentia Health-Deer River Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest which was held on Dec. 19 with the judging being done in the lobby of the health care facility.
“It’s getting harder and harder to find a good ugly sweater,” said Lori Lilja, “but I did discover that there is even a website devoted to helping out in the search for a good one.”
Locally the search, at least for this year, is a bit more challenging. Cindy Wolfe, owner of Cinderella’s Closet, said, “I’m just about out of ugly Christmas sweaters! I had a customer in today that bought a couple of them for the health care facility’s contest and that just about takes care of all that I have in stock.”
There were about 22 participants in the Essentia Health-Deer River contest. Getting them all together for a group photo was a bit difficult because of their job duties but, most of them were able to make it.The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
