Bigfork High School is now making the addition of a new activity for the first time in years. They broke their regular tradition of the main three sports in this area which are Basketball, Football, and Volleyball by adding a Robotics team. When asked about robotics, the head coach of the team, Michele Carnahan said, “Two or three years ago, Mrs. Dahlke through Community Education, tried to get a lego/robotics team going at Bigfork. There was some interest, but no one, at the time, implemented it. In November of this year, the regional director for FIRST Robotics, Ken Rosen, contacted Mr. Patrow to see if Bigfork was interested in participating this year. After many questions, I decided, if there was student interest, I would advise the FIRST Robotics team.” Robotics is one of the only new activities Bigfork has ever added.
