Grace House burns mortgage

Grace House recently celebrated the burning of the mortgage on its building at 501 SW 1st Ave, Grand Rapids.  The building was purchased and remodeled in 2011 and the move to the new facility was completed in December of that year.  The loan provided to Grace House by the Blandin Foundation was officially paid off in December of 2014. Prior to moving into this permanent facility, Grace House was housed at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids and during that time Pastor Lynn Ronsberg was the Pastor at Zion and served as a great partner in those early years of Grace House.  Ronsberg stated she was “thrilled and excited to hear the news about Grace House being debt-free in only three years”.

Wade Fauth, Blandin Foundation Vice President, said, “Our partnership with Grace House is very positive and we are excited, as well, with the community support and fundraising, which made it possible for this loan to be paid.”
