Reader grateful for Santa
My name is Stacy Jackson. I have been a nurse’s aide for about 16 years at either St. Lukes or St. Marys Children Care Center and now volunteer as often as I can. Christmas is a tough time to see anyone in a hospital, it is extremely hard for children.
I first saw Santa at our hospital some ten years ago, [Ed Hermel] he and his helper brought loads of boxes full of toys, plenty to go aroud for all. What I saw then was truly a miracle, and it has continued each year since. Santa would take time with every child and family, lots of hugs, pictures and Christmas cheer. Most of us would volunteer to come in and witness something special, we have never been disapointed. Smiles appeared where we thought they were long gone, laughter and ho ho ho’s everywhere. The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
