This past January, Deer River FFA members traveled to Central Lakes College in Brainerd to compete in regional FFA competitions. Deer River FFA brought competitive teams in both Meats Evaluation & Technology, and Fish & Wildlife Management.
In the area of Meats Evaluation, members complete a written test, judge quality yield and grade of beef carcasses and evaluate and place beef, lamb and pork carcasses.
