Curtis Lee Foss

Curtis Lee Foss, 63, of Grand Rapids, died on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, after a long illness.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1952 to Arnold and Lenore Foss in Hallock. The family moved to Grand Rapids in 1953. Curt graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974, stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Ft. Knox, Kentucky.

Curt lived for many years in Minneapolis working in the hospitality and advertising industries. He moved back to Grand Rapids in 2007 and had been employed at Ruttgers-Sugar Lake Lodge and Timberlake Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Emerald Foss.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda Foss of Grand Rapids and Barbara Roushar of Eden Prairie, a brother, Craig Foss of Cohasset, a niece, Danielle Foss of Deer River, and nephews Sean Rutledge of Minneapolis and Dyllan Foss of Alexandria; and longtime friend, Brian Webster of Minneapolis.

No services will be held at this time. A celebration of Curtis’ life will be scheduled in the spring.
