Rusty Eichorn announced his intention today to seek re-election as District 4 Commissioner of Itasca County. Eichorn is currently County Board Chair and was first elected to the County Board in 2002.
“It is a privilege to serve the citizens of District 4 and all of Itasca County,” Eichorn said. “I enjoy representing the District on the board, and want to continue to help make positive changes for Itasca County in the future.
“During my time in office we’ve worked hard to increase the efficiency of County government. We have transitioned to an online agenda and meeting management software and have streamlined board meetings by reducing the number of work sessions, and by combining health and human service meetings with regular board meetings,” Eichorn said. “I am particularly proud of our efforts to increase county government transparency by taking our board meetings on the road and conducting them in other cities including Deer River, Bigfork, Nashwauk and Bovey; and through hosting “Coffee with the County” events throughout the county. We have invited the public in for a County Government Day, had a County Booth at the fair, and began a partnership with ICTV to film Inside Itasca County that airs on ICTV.”The content you are trying to access is only available to members.
