School district: King construction project moving along quickly

by Barbara Cameron

Deer River’s school board held its regular July meeting a week later than originally scheduled; all directors were present, and they heard a lengthy update on the progress of the Phase 2 construction project at King Elementary School. Later on in the meeting, they listened to the buildings and grounds supervisor describe the recent storm damage to both the high school and the elementary buildings.

Chair Ryan Fox led the group in the flag pledge before announcing some minor changes to the agenda. The board approved minutes from the June meeting and accounts payable for that month, as well as the very long consent agenda that contained contracts with instructors, coaches, other staff, and also inter-district/agency agreement renewals. The content you are trying to access is only available to members.
