New postmaster in Deer River

by Louise H. McGregor, staff writer

Andrew (Andy) Tuckner, who lives in Deer River, officially became the Deer River Post Office’s postmaster on Sept. 20. His first day at the site was Oct. 3.

Tuckner is originally from North Branch and graduated from high school there in 2002. From then, until he started his postal career in 2005, he was a supervisor at Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts, now called O’Reilly’s, in North Branch and Forest Lake.

“I have family members that were city carriers and postal service supervisors,” said Tuckner, “and they encouraged me to get into that line of work.”The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
