County board: child protection and snowplowing

by Barbara Cameron

Itasca County logoAll five county commissioners were present for the regularly scheduled board meeting on Nov. 22. They were joined at the board table by the county administrator, deputy clerk of the board and the chief assistant county attorney for civil matters sitting in for the county attorney. There are only two more regular board sessions scheduled for this year, and commissioners handled a fairly full agenda. Roads appeared twice on the slate, but the matter which seemed to give commissioners the most pause was an issue arising over the county’s earlier decision to eliminate private driveway snowplowing and whether that also applies to the plowing of all private roads.

Chair Rusty Eichorn (Dist. 4) invited everyone to accompany him in the flag pledge before he went on to agenda approval. There were several agenda additions and these were all approved. The consent agenda containing 18 items met with unanimous approval. The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
