Since its official charter in June 2016, the Deer River High School FFA program has already doubled total membership, and increasingly engages more students to be competitive at the regional level. This past January fifteen Deer River FFA members traveled to Central Lakes College in Brainerd to compete in regional FFA competitions.
In the area of Meats Evaluation, members complete a written test, judge quality yield and grade of beef carcasses and evaluate and place beef, lamb and pork carcasses.
