Deer River City Council informed about increased fluoridation levels and award for public works

Deer River City LogoThe call to order by Mayor Steve Geving was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the prayer offered by Councilman Chris Reed before the evening’s agenda was addressed.

Others in attendance at this time included council members Pat Richards and Wade Reed, Police Chief Tammy Perry, Public Works Foreman Jason Lundquist, City Administrator Mark Box, Fire Chief Steve Jurvelin and Jess Huju.

Corrections were made to the Jan. 23 meeting minutes by C. Reed and Richards before a motion was made and approved to accept the amended minutes.

There weren’t any questions on the presented bills and a motion was made and approved to pay those listed on the Feb. 1 ($482.11) and ($20,997.72) and Feb. 13 ($44,688.51) Council Approval Reports, plus the payment of the Jan. 30 City Hall payroll of $14,698.39, the Feb. 13 City Hall payroll of $15,436.01 and the mayor and council payroll for Feb. 13 of $763.31.
