Gene’s Corner

This last winter I contacted Line Foreman Darrel Pederson about a large popple tree I have on my property. It looked rotten at the bottom and I thought it might fall on the 7,000-volt powerline. He told me they would take care of it in the spring. John Rahier and Chuck Peck came last week to cut down the tree. It was a tough job, with my wife’s clothesline in the way of the powerline. I helped Chuck take down the wire clotheslines, then John Rahier, in the bucket, started on the tree. It was a very delicate operation, and John Rahier did a very job cutting down this tree.
