110 Years Ago—The work of staking out ditches and state roads between Bowstring and Deer River has been completed. It is estimated that the Bowstring ditching will make large area of fertile soil tillable. C.D. Lyons, one of the townsite boomers of Ball Club, ordered material for buildings…he states post office is to be soon moved to the townsite and town has in prospect a large saw mill.
