110 Years Ago—Wages go down — Where a month ago $40 and $45 was the common offer for work in the woods, the figure is now $30, and many firms are cutting down to $26. There has been just enough depression and curtailment of operations to leave an abundance of men on the market. Two deer were stolen from the Great Northern Depot…both carcasses minus the heads were found in a box car…as both animals were fine bucks with large antlers, it is the opinion that the persons stealing them wanted the heads for mounting.The content you are trying to access is only available to members.
