All four current members of the Itasca County Board of Commissioners were present for their regular session on Nov. 28. The administrator, attorney and deputy clerk were also at the table for the meeting lasting about an hour and a quarter. The audience listened to informative presentations about adverse childhood experiences; the programs in the Deer River and Grand Rapids school districts to reduce and prevent alcohol and drug use in students; and what’s been happening at the area library. In addition to some regular department updates, the commissioners acted on the attorney’s request to commence litigation against elements of Big Pharma for opioid marketing practices. The content you are trying to access is only available to members.
