Romelle Jones is a breath of fresh air for all Minnesotans

By Patti Pfeifer, staff writer

The Freedom to Breathe Act brought Minnesotans a breath of fresh air when on October 1, 2007 all Minnesota workplaces includings bars and restaurants became smoke-free. Where this all began was in Moose Lake at Art’s Cafe, the very first restaurant to go smoke-free in the state of Minnesota.

The cafe was owned and operated for 27 years by Romelle Jones and her husband, who purchased the cafe in 1980. Romelle was a pioneer in the sometimes nasty fight to end smoking in her small hometown restaurant. The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
