“A gentle response deflects fury, but a harsh word makes tempers rise.” Proverbs 15:1
My husband asked me a quite a few years ago if I could change the tone of my voice. He said that sometimes he knew I didn’t mean it the way it was coming out, but a calmer tone would help his blood pressure. I knew how hard it was for him to ask me so I chose not to be offended.
I went to the Lord in prayer and asked for help because I didn’t know how to do this. I found this verse in Proverbs 15. I learned to lower the pitch and speak in a calmer, more gentle manner. His blood pressure has been awesome and I feel better as well. The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
